How Do You Respond To The Accusations of evilbible.com?

We have been asked by numerous people about several web sites that claim to have a laundry list of charges to level against the word of God. The one that we have been asked about most often is evilbible.com. How do we respond?

We will start by saying that we are providing a growing list of articles to answer the baseless, senseless attacks upon God’s word that are being leveled by the likes of “evilbible.com”. You will find that the majority of what you will read include over-generalizations, as well as complete misrepresentations of the facts. Narratives are taken out of context. Historical background is distorted.

But more than anything, it is important to remember that the authors are driven by the spirit of antichrist. They are totally lacking any spiritual discernment and are not lead by the Spirit of God. This point cannot be ignored and the implications cannot be overstated. As the Apostle Paul informed us in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

What is “evil”?
One of the incredibly illogical things that you will read on evilbible.com is their accusation that "God is evil” or that certain things that God did in the Bible were “evil”.

So, who defines what is or is not “evil”? Does the owner of “evilbible.com”? On what authority does he establish what is or is not evil?

It is obvious that the writer of the articles on evilbible.com is not any kind of authority. He or she is not God. He or she has no basis to claim that their opinion bears any real influence on what is to be decreed as being good or evil.

It is the Bible’s own stated contention that God Almighty, the eternal Maker of all things and the final Judge of every living person, is THE Authority. Only God can decide what is and what is not evil. And for anyone to accuse God of being evil is assanine.

Can the accusers prove that they have greater authority than God? Can they demonstrate that they are all-knowing and capable of making such “rules”? To make the rules one must be capable of enforcing such rules. Who but God is able to enforce universal rules governing good and evil?

Ignorance Is Not Bliss
What the owner of evilbible.com has NOT done is deal with the undeniable internal and external evidence proving the Bible originates from an authoritative source Who knows all things past, present and future. Evilbible.com does not deal with the 100% accuracy rate of Bible prophecy and, specifically, the prophecies about the 1st coming of Jesus Christ, the Messianic prophecies, the prophecies of the dispersion and modern regathering of the Jews and the re-establishment of the nation of Israel during these end times leading to the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ.

The skeptic is defenseless against such undeniable evidence, so they simply duck and run, claiming that the Bible recorded such prophecies many years after the event. They have no scientific (either historical documentation, eyewitness testimony, archaeological sources or other imperical evidence) to support such baseless claims. But, as the saying goes, "Any old port in a storm will do."

Beyond the fascinating fulfillment of Biblical prophecy is the fact that the Bible has never been contradicted by the findings of archaeologists. The Bible is not contradicted by any trustworthy historical documentation. And the Bible does not contradict any verifiable scientific information—theory is another story, but theory is not a legitimate basis for accusation of “error” in the Bible.

If the owner of evilbible.com is ignorant of these things, it is to his/her own detriment and to the harm of the poor souls who read the evilbible.com web site as some sort of reference or authority.

We encourage you to read our articles which answer the nonsensical charges against God’s word. And we urge you to get a King James Bible and start reading and studying it. If you live in the central Ohio area, contact us for Bible study in your home or to attend our meetings.
